WIT has added another honor to its collection of accolades in 2024.
At the 2024 Hashtag Sports Awards banquet on Thursday night, WIT won the award for Best Use of Fan-Generated Content for the Cleveland Browns Dawg Pound Logo Redesign Campaign.
In this campaign from 2023, the Cleveland Browns took advantage of their massively successful midfield logo campaign from the year before. Looking to give fans input and impact at every stage of picking the new Dawg Pound logo, they used a WIT contest to collect and amplify original design submissions from talented artists around the world. They then used two rounds of WIT Vote-to-Win activations to crown the eventual logo champion.
Hundreds of thousands of votes were cast by Browns followers eager to have a say in the new design, which was unveiled live on the Pat McAfee Show, followed by a full rollout on the Browns website and team store.
WIT was shortlisted for three awards at this year’s banquet, also earning nods in the Best Employee Engagement category and Best Brand Experience/Activation.
Longtime WIT employees Zach Schwartz and Cali Paetow were on hand in New York City to accept the award on behalf of WIT.
Earlier this spring, WIT earned a gold medal in the AVA Digital Awards for Interactive Brand Experience. WIT also earned medalist honors from Sports Business Journal for Best Place to Work in Sports.
