Vaidhy Murti featured on The Petcash Podcast

WIT founder and CEO Vaidhy Murti recently joined The Petcash Pod with Andrew Petcash.

Petcash, a former basketball player at Boston University, is the founder of Profluence, a media flywheel and investment vehicle operating at the center of the sports ecosystem.

On the podcast, Murti recounted his background in sports amongst his family growing up.

"Growing up, I was a huge sports fan," Murti said. "I remember my Grandfather would come visit us from India and he taught me how to play cricket in the basement. My Mom would play tennis with me at the local park. Sports has been a huge influence on my life as a player and avid consumer."

After Murti spoke about his time at Princeton and his first venture, Friendsy, he went into detail on the original idea for WIT, describing it like a combination of Vine and HQ trivia.

Murti tracked WIT's exponential growth in product development, market share across professional and college sports and talented personnel as WIT recently announced a Series A funding round from McCarthy Capital.

So what's next for WIT and the sports industry at large?

Murti touched on a few areas: expanding reach beyond in-stadium audience, capitalizing on fans that are interested in players more than teams and using enriched data to create wholistic fan profiles with more opportunities for teams and brands to build meaningful touchpoints.
